Redmi 12 5G Spotted on Geekbench

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi 12 4G earlier this month, and a 5G variant is expected to launch soon. Now, the device’s Geekbench listing has revealed a few key specs.

With a single-core score of 916 and a multi-core score of 2106, the device scored very well on Geekbench. It also has 8GB RAM and runs Android 13 out of the box.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has been working on a 5G variant of the Redmi 12 4G. The smartphone is slated to launch in India on August 1 and will be powered by the Helio G88 SoC. The Redmi 12 5G has now appeared on Geekbench with model number 23076RN4BI. The device scored 916 points in single-core and 2106 in multi-core tests.

The impressive test results indicate that the device can handle demanding apps easily. However, the Geekbench listing doesn’t mention any other specifications apart from confirming that the device will run on Android 13.

It is also speculated that this Redmi 12 5G could be launched as Poco M6 Pro 5G in India and as Redmi 12R globally. Both these smartphones will be rebranded variants of the Redmi Note 12R introduced in China in April. The 23076RN4BI model number has already appeared in the BIS database and will likely get the Bureau of Indian Standards certification too.

The chipset will support a Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP depth sensor. The smartphone will have a 5,000mAh battery unit and support 33W fast charging. The Redmi 12 5G will also have a fingerprint scanner on the back.
